oyster omelette?

okay, i know this is sort of an odd request, and i typically like my oysters raw and cold and on the half shell, but i've been reading mfk fisher's "consider the oyster," and she writes compellingly about something called "hang town fry" that seems to be a sort of oyster omelette, and i was wondering if the hive mind knew of a place i could have this concoction dished up?

i'd be curious to cook one up at home, too. is there a good, reliable place to buy fresh oysters around williamsburg? or anywhere in brooklyn, actually?
