Most overlooked Sushi in Boston - Sakurabana

I seem to post about this place every year or two just to keep in on the Chowhound radar.

Sakurabana on Broad street in the financial district has been around (I just found this out) for 21 years, and by my taste has been consistently one of the best sushi places in town.

They just doubled in size, remodeled, and added to the menu.

The remodeling spruces up the place and makes it almost trendy in a tasteful understated way.

Went Friday and the food was quite simply excellent. Had and order of Ankimo, the "Fave Sushi" and the "Kashiage Soba."

Ankimo was rich and delish; sushi was superfresh, big pieces of fish, and a relative bargain at $20. (If I remember, on Tuesday nights they have this as a special for $14, which is an amazing bargain.)

The Soba with two fried shrimp/vegetable fritters was delicious. Better then most Japanese noodle soups (with the exception of Ken's Ramen) that I have had in Boston.

Don't know why this place get's so little notice on Chowhound.
