Okay, a couple of lean years in the movie biz have left me in position where I'm not a regular at Melisse, but hey, ya gotta eat ! With a little creativity It seems one should be to eat well without breaking the bank (what's left of it) For example on Friday and Saturday night between 10 and midnight (earlier I'm told during the week) A meal can be made of the delicious appetizers sold for $2 a plate at the bar at the Border Grill on 4th st. in Santa Monica. If one is splurging, one can cross the Street to Rocca on tuesday nights for the Celebration of the Pig.$14 gets you a complete meal of the roasted beast with side dishes, and If you bring a bottle of wine purchased at WINE EXPO there's no corkage. Am I alone in my desparate frugality ? Can anyone else offer suggestions to food fan with a cash flow problem?
