My dad is in town for two nights.
Last night we dined at Otto...and so tonight we are looking for lighter fare (had one too many gelatos). I'd like to stay between 30th street and the village (east or west)--although something in the 'hood of 13th and 5th avenue might just be ideal. Something other than Italian, and probably not sushi. And of course, delicious. Not too formal either. There will be 4 people in our party.
By the way, finally tried the olive oil gelato at otto. So creamy. It tasted like the richest, most decadent, aromatic o.o. one could find. Also, there were a few bites that were REALLY salty. Thoughts?
Had the egg pizza (w/pecorino). Quite nice. The caprese salad was unique with soft sun-dried (?) tomatoes with a big hunk of the SMOOTHEST fresh mozzarella in the center doused in delicious pesto sauce. Also enjoyed the eggplant caponata and english peas with prosciutto.
thanks in advance for any suggestions!
