Oriental Garden Report

The first time I went to Oriental Garden was about eight months ago, and I have been back about six times. My friends and I love seafood and fish, and the abundance of fresh fish and seafood selections here is incredible. Even the meat dishes have all been very good. Our favorite dish, though we don't order it every time since it is expensive, is the large live fresh prawns in xo sauce. They cost $36 a pound, which is about 6 prawns a pound. They are incredible. It's like eating mini lobsters. The sauce is amazing and the shrimp are always cooked perfectly.

All other selections have been great, especially the whole steamed sea bass in black bean sauce or ginger and scallion, shrimp with mayo and walnuts, peking pork chops and tofu casserole with meat and seafood. Also, they have a large appetizer list of dim sum that you can order at dinner. The few times we have ordered from it, everything was very good as well. Service has always been good, but note that if you plan on going on a fri or sat night, you will have a wait if you don't make reservations.
