I'm excited to start planning a trip to Languedoc; I stayed about a month in Aude a couple years ago, and love that region, its food and Occitan history.
For this trip, we rented a house in Beziers (in the Herault department) in May and will be there for a week. We also have a car for the drive up from Barcelona, but probably don't want to drive too far (maximum 30-45 minutes) or too regularly once we're settled in Beziers.
In the town of Beziers, I found recommendations for these restaurants (some of which have or had Michelin stars)
- La Compagnie des Comptoires
- La Raffinerie
- Le Cep d'Or
Has anyone eaten here, and can recommend some over others? We will probably plan 2-3 fancy-ish meals for dinner, then want good and solid neighborhood-type meals that feel more warm and homey than refined.
Also, any recommendations for "everyday" sorts of places--boulangeries, patisseries--in the area would be much appreciated.
Merci a tous!
