Opinions on local chain...Armadillo Willy's (Texas BBQ)?

I wasn't sure whether to post here or on the CA board since the AW's outpost that I'm most interested in is in Capitola; however, since all the other branches are covered on this board, seems like I'd get more general feedback here. An archival search resulted in some mixed/downhill reports a couple of yrs. ago and couldn't find anything recent (except for katya's BBQ ranking a few months ago). Linked AW's web menu below.

Assume there might be some variability across locations, but I'd like to know if AW's does anything consistently good to very good. Am most interested in meats (brisket, ribs, pork, chicken), starters (garlic parmesan fries, onion rings), and any noteworthy sides or sandwiches. What about the burgers? Also, how are the portions? Husband and I are small-moderate eaters, so would the 2 or 3 combo meat platter w/ Texas toast and 2 sides be more than enough for 2? Thanks for your input.

Note: Not really interested in who does Q better in the bay area (and I know there are better) since I live over the hill in Santa Cruz, but would like some direct feedback on how AW's stands on its own and whether it has decent enough items and good value. Am hoping that Capitola branch can be lumped in here since doesn't seem to make sense to post another query on CA board.
