I've only found one mention of this place on the board by kmarg, so thought I'd chime in about my first visit yesterday:
I stopped in for an early lunch and I think I was the first customer of the day. I ordered the shish kebab (lamb souvlaki) pita ($8.95) and a side of hummus ($2.95). The hummus was just awesome - a nice silky texture and a huge amount of garlic (perhaps almost too much, it had a slightly bitter aftertaste that I didn't mind, it just might be too much if you were going back to the office). The shish kebab was very good, tender and grilled with lots of flavor (better than Z's Greek, not as good as Dooby's). The garlic yogurt sauce was also tasty, so my only complaint was the pita itself; it was just too soft. It seemed very fresh, but perhaps to a fault. I also found this to be a problem while eating the hummus, it didn't hold up very well. The sandwich came with a small greek salad that was fresh with a tangy dressing. Total with tax and tip was $15 which is high, but the sandwich was $2 more than the rest on their menu).
I will be returning, most likely for dinner; they have a bunch of entrees on the menu (served all day) that sound good.
I grabbed a menu and will scan it and post a link to it soon. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall that houses Kitchen Classics and Rosati's, among other things, south of Thomas just E of 40th St.
