Oceanaire Dallas?? What's the fuss?

I stayed at the Westin Galleria and ate at Oceanaire. I should have paid attention to my instincts about inland chi chi seafood restaurants and gone to one of the great nearby steakhouses. But, I was tired and heard that Oceanaire was highly regarded, so I figured, WTF.
Well, it turned out to be one of the most over priced, over rated, over wrought meals I've had in a long time!
Very narrow second rate by-the-glass wine selection: Canyon Road Chard is $6/bottle(and mediocre)in stores and they wanted $9/glass? No Sancerre or decent Sav Blanc by the glass in a seafood restaurant?
The Cioppino was a bunch of fish chunk cubes with 3 little necks, two mussels, and three shrimp in a shallow bowl with a puddle of decent tasting liquid. Hardly the San Francisco Fish Stew that I was expecting. Not-quite-fresh enough grilled calamari in a weird so-called Thai marinade.
Plus, the place was so loud that i just paid my bill and got out before my coffee.
So, er, whats the attraction, Dallas? Are you so far away from the ocean that the Oceanaire is, by default, your great seafood restaurant? A couple of cuts above Red Lobster, sure, but hardly the top-notch fine dining establishment they pretend to be.
Vinny doesn't get it.
