Last Sat my lovely wife and I joined another couple at Oceanair. I had not been in 2 plus years. When I looked at the menu, I got a little sticker shock. Wow. Sole Meuniere was over $60. I had the halibut with lumb crab which had creeped up above $40. Ouch. The food had not chnaged much but the prices had. I much prefer a more interesting chef driven experience like Seasalt than Oceanair which is basically a high priced steak place for seafood. Had a nice lower end Riesling for $36.
On Sat, we decided to go to 20.21 for the last hurrah. As before, I found the food good but not great. We started with the lettuce cup and the beat salad. Both were very good. The lettuce cup was a level or two above big bowl/PF chnags but you would expect that. We then tried the Hong Kong Salmon which was nice but not amazing. We were early (Batman did you end up going). and the place was 1/2 empty. The menu was somewhat difficult. I will not miss it. Had a nice glass of Gruner.
