Thanks to those who posted simple ways to prepare turnips and radishes.
I sliced radishes thinly and ate them on whole wheat bread with hummus. Also tossed them in red wine vinegar, sea salt and olive oil as a salad topper.
Put my rhubarb and strawberries to good use in a biscuit-topped cobbler (is it truly a cobbler with biscuit topping?). You almost can't mess up that recipe. Just add enough sugar to sweeten the tart rhubard, and something to thicken the juice (I just added a little flour). Too bad I didn't have vanilla ice cream...
Grilled my bok choy with a sauce composed of white wine vinegar, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar and a little oil.
Yesterday I slow-roasted a pork shoulder for the first time (many thanks to those long threads about it!), served with sauteed turnip greens and boiled turnips with butter. Used leftover chili garlic sauce, which is basically a vinegary bbq sauce.
