NYC Chowhound here, looking for a Chicago restaurant for a group of teenagers

I'll be in Chicago at the end of the month for a conference. As part of the conference, I have to take a group of high school seniors and their teacher chaperones to dinner. There will be 11 of us in total. I've done this in years past, and the kids always seem most excited to go to places like the Hard Rock Cafe (blech - we did that in Atlanta), and John's Pizzeria (in my hometown, which was delicious).

What would you recommend for Chicago? Ideally I'd like to be able to walk to the restaurant. We're staying at the Hyatt Regency at 151 East Wacker Drive. I was thinking deep dish pizza might be fun because Chicago is famous for it, but more importantly I need a not so expensive restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Not very chowish of me, but I have to please the masses.

TIA
