We are two 40 year old couples visiting from Napa Valley staying around Broadway & 48th. Looking to experience some quintensential NY eats as well as other options. What is the difference between Katz pastrami and Carnegie. I understand Katz gets rave reviews and Carnegie seems to get bashed, but why? Have tried some of the newer Pizza places like Keste, Motorino and Artichoke but not that impressed. Love di faro, Patsy"s UES pretty good, hated Totonno. So woulfd like to try Lombardis, Johns or Grimaldis. Any thoughts. Also looking for a good mid range Italian restaurant> Have enjoyed Inoteca, Bar Piti, Lupa and Pheasant in the past. Any other ideas. Looking for a nice lunch spot one day enjoyed USC last time, liked the casual ambience. Any great wine bars near where we are staying and elsewhere in Manhattan. Have done Peter Lugers several times kind of done with it and have been to Keens and recos for steakhouses. Breakfast have done Clinton street any other good options and maybe closer to where we are staying. How about sunday brunch have been to Balthazar what else would be good. And finally a dinner past trips have been Gramercy Tavern a number of times, Degustation, Eleven Madison want to try something else. Thanks,
