I will be visiting Seattle for the first time this weekend and am hoping to get some recommendations. We (two 20-somethings) will be staying at the Vance Hotel in downtown Seattle (the corner of Stewart Street and 7th Ave). We are looking for:
1) Friday lunch: preferably either near the hotel or in an area where there is a lot to do and/or see. We want a light but relaxed meal (since we'll be getting up at 4:30 to catch our flight!), and would prefer not to spend more than $20 a person.
2) Friday dinner: preferably near the hotel. We prefer fish, New American, Italian, or Japanese. We are looking for food that tastes of home cooking and has a lot of heart--nothing overly trendy or mass-produced tasting, please. We would not like to spend more than low-20s for an entree. Bonus for nearby bars where we could grab a few post-dinner drinks.
3) Sunday brunch: again, preferably near the hotel. I am a huge fan of french toast and other traditional sweet breakfast items, so any place that does those particularly well would be great. We will probably be wearing jeans, so nowhere too fancy.
Thanks for your help, and I'll definitely return the favor on your future trips to New York!
