Just ate there with my boss, as I had read about Pastrytroll's visit in August. Thought it might be something different to try for lunch. Well, it was different, but not something I'll be willing to try again.
My boss got a smoked salmon crepe, I got the roasted vegetable with cheese. Took quite some time to get them delivered to our table; I think the kid making the crepes kept tearing them when he either flipped them on the crepe pan or tried to make either of our crepes; it looks like he had to start over several times.
Mine was quite large, drizzled on top with a cream sauce, I believe. But overall, it was very bland. The vegetables (mushrooms, summer squash, and small grape tomatoes) were OK, but had no seasoning whatsoever. They were rather lacking in any kind of flavor, as was the cheese that was included and the white sauce on top. I know the standard white sauce isn't highly flavored, but I expected more from the vegetables. It was just was very underwhelming.
My boss said the smoked salmon crepe was "OK". Small wedge of lemon and a dollop of sour cream on the side. His seemed much smaller than mine.
My crepe, with a Naked Mighty Mango juice, came to $11.30 - a bit steep, IMO. And his was around $8.50.
Let's just say the lunch experiment didn't work for us, and I doubt I'll go back to Nutcracker except for pastries.
