Since moving to the burbs I have not been to the North End in years. My mom is flying in the week before Xmas and since she is flying into Logan late in the day the family thought we would all meet for celebratory holiday dinner. There will be at least 8 and up to 12 of us. My mom lived in Italy for years and prefers classic Northern/Tuscan food. Casual and/or upscale is OK, good Tuscan wine list a must. Price no major object but prefer not too extreme. Reservations are a must as well but this would be a early on a Weds night so that might make it easier.
I read as many post as a could and my research has brought me the following candidates: Prezza, Fiore, Monicas, Taranta and Sage. However many seem to be more Southern Italian in cuisine, others seem they might be too small if all 12 of us go.
I would love to hear any specific details about these place, specifically food, service, wine list and atmosphere. Would you recommend? Also if I have missed some other place that fits the bill I would love to hear details about them too. thanks!
