Ok guys, here's your mission, should you choose to accept it - help me with some Tex-Mex food choices!
I'm a New Orleans foodie, but I'll be going to San Antonio and staying on the riverwalk, with no car. Can someone make a couple of recommendations for good Tex-Mex in that area?
Now, I know what you are thinking... "you've got to be kidding - asking for GOOD restaurants on the riverwalk." But here's the deal. I'll be with a fun group of people and this isn't an eating trip for me (every other day of my life is an eating day). Last year we ate at Dick's Last Resort (while drinking), The Original Mexican Restaurant (mistake - I'm sorry), and Rio Rio (?) (was pretty good). So you see I'm not looking for gourmet places, but I REALLY LOVE Tex-Mex and there is one thing we don't have much of in New Orleans-Tex Mex.
So help a guy out. I'm flying in Saturday (the rest of the group won't arrive till late Sat. Afternoon), so I need a place for lunch, then a couple more rec's will get me through to Monday at lunch.
Thanks for the help, and I'll be happy to return the favor to anyone visiting New Orleans; just don't tell me you want to ONLY find restaurants in the French Quarter... :)
