Just got back from an excellent meal at Nick and Stef's Steakhouse in NYC.
I started dinner with a Caesar salad and my girlfriend had the Tuna Tartar appetizer. The salad was above average (but not great), but my girlfriend said that the tuna was one of the best she's ever had. One disappointment, however, was that although the menu stated that the salad would be made tableside, it was not (nor was an accompanying table's)... perhaps they use the same menus throughout the country and NY Real estate is too expensive to have the space to do it?
For entrees we each had a 10oz. Filet Mignon which was cooked exactly as we ordered it, and cut like butter. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes infused with garlic and chives, which appeared quite runny, but didn't taste (too much) as such. The potatoes were pretty good, although i might try something else on a future visit.
The service was EXCELLENT. Dinner for 2 including the above along with one glass of wine was $104+tip. Overall i'd give this restaurant a solid 9.
