I finally tried the new branch of Sushi Sen-nin on 3rd Ave. between 80-81. Had a good meal - lovely service, very attentive chef, fresh, interesting fish, comfortable bar...and...they don't have a liquor license yet! And probably won't for at least another month...
Monkfish liver pate was especially good, as was bluefin toro tartare, giant clam, and huge slabs of grilled freshwater eel. And they did something, on request, that I so love - they fried the heads of the sweet shrimp for me!
The place was empty but for us and one other party from 6 - 7:30. Too bad. I enjoyed it.
