I had a nice time and meal at Summer Winter tonight in the Burlington Marriott. A friend of mine and I sat at the oyster bar which was nice and a little less formal than the dining area but removed enough from the bar.
The service was somewhat uncoordinated as our waitress was a little slow throughout our meal but when it came to clearing our dinner plates, they asked us 3 times before we were actually done and let them take our plates. Overall, the service was friendly though.
The drinks were great between the bourbon smash to start and a delicious hot spiced butter rum to finish, that was actually the highlight for me! I did not venture into their wines tonight.
For dinner, I had the baby back ribs which were tasty but I have had better at rib places. The hominy cakes were good on the side and unique and the side of baby bok choy was nice and light.
The ambiance was really nice with slate all around. I will definitely return and test them out again. I am a big fan of MC Perkins Cove in Ogunquit and hope this sister will measure up!
