We had a very pleasant experience at Teca last night. Grilled calamari was excellent, fresh pastas (lasagna and tortellini) as well. I don't know if they make their own or purchase them made fresh (for example from I Pasta, a few doors down on Gay St.). Our friends like their steaks and salmon dishes. Service was cheerful and pleasant.
The wine list was very extensive. We limited ourselves to Tuscan wines from "their vineyard". I am not sure if the owners have outright ownerhip, just sponsor that one vineyard, family connection, or what.
Teca used to limit itself to panini and salads, just as something to munch on while you drank their wine. They seem to have made the transition to a full restaurant... and a really decent one at that.
