I am very happy to report that West Broward is not a culinary wasteland after all! We celebrated a birthday dinner here last night and the food was wonderful. There were six adults and two children and everything at the table was delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices and they were extremely user friendly (especially with the kids). I had the sea bass which was prepared with a fresh pineapple salsa. It was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. DH had the Peruvian seafood stew which I had as a "soup" portion for lunch on my one-time prior visit. A large portion of perfectly cooked seafood in a aromatic light tomato broth with a good kick to it. My daughter had the filet which I didn't get to taste, but she said it was wonderful. Also ordered at the table were Price Edward Island mussels, onion soup, pei oysters, crab cakes and a couple of other things that I can't remember. This is a small restaurant open for breakfast, lunch & dinner (check their website for days and hours). It's a very nice space that they "dress up" for their dinner service. I would definitely call it a neighborhood gem . I wish it was more in my neighborhood. I am very happy we decided to try it for a weeknight special occasion dinner.
