Mussels at Lukshon

rarely do i order mussels because unless they are absolutely fresh (alive shortly before they arrive on your plate) to me, they have a "flat/muddy" flavor.
also, as soon as they die, they start to dry out.

the only restaurant in recent years that could be counted on was La Cachette Bistro in santa monica (rip).

now i've found another source of top quality mussels: Lukshon.
here's their description of the dish:

prince edward island black mussels
green chile rempah, coconut, tapioca, thai basil, lime.

of course, i couldn't leave without also having one of my all time favorite seafood dishes:
steamed cod
spicy citrus broth, lily flower, tatsoi

what can i say? even though they don't serve a lot of items for pescatarians , the things they do serve are terrific
