I bought 3 lbs of assorted mushrooms this weekend at the produce outlet: shitake, portabello, oyster, porcini. and buttons. I'm thinking mushroom bisque. I usually just shoot from the hip when I make it; but would love to hear your best recipe for something new. I have Brandy, Vermouth, shallots, broth, milk, cream, all on hand. Plus, an assortment of herbs growing in my garden that I would love to put to use.
