I haven't had a chacarero in a long time, but I had time to grab one on my way to South Station this afternoon. Small beef, extra, extra hot. (For 10 years I was a chicken guy, but I switched a couple years ago and haven't looked back. I think it's more flavorful than the chicken.) In addition to ordering it extra, extra hot, I paid fifty cents for an additional little container of the extra hot sauce, which I emptied onto my sandwich. It was delicious (and hot)! After all these years, Chacarero's chacarero still is one of the best sandwiches around.
