I went to Monica's Restaurant in the North End on Friday night and it was very, very good. We made an early reservation to avoid the rush. The prices were very reasonable. I had cappellini calamaretti (capellini pasta with baby squid in a red sauce). This was wonderful. The squid was clean, not rubbery and not fishy at all. My fiance had the bolagnese sauce with pasta and her dad had the free-form lasagna. We also had a tomato caprese as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to the next time I can go back.
