Momofuku = very salty

Went to Momofuku for lunch yesterday and was rather put off by how salty some of the food is. Started off with the seasonal pickles and shared an order of the steamed buns with pork. Both were very good. Next came our entrees, I had the anson mills grits with shrimp,bacon and poached egg. It was a very lush downhome egg and grits combo but was way oversalted. I had a few tastes of my friends ramen with pork neck. The meat was delicious and even the noodles themselves had a nice bite, but after a few tastes all that remained was how salty it was. When we finished I joked about how we were going to be drinking water all day and sure enough up until this morning I have been trying to quench my thirst. Anybody else have a similar experience. I really liked the whole set up and I certainly would go back for a few orders of the steamed buns. I'm just a little weary about venturing into the rest of the menu.
