A couple of weeks ago browsing the mercado next to the pupuseria in des plaines I picked up a little tub of molo rojo teloapan base from "el calvario" I used with a little turkey broth and produced some quite flavorful but not perfect stuff.
yesterday, in the morelia supermarket, I noticed quite a few brands of this stuff all "hecho in teloapan". Does anyone use this stuff, have a favorite brand? They are all in little white plastic tubs with deep red lettering.
Another product that are family has recently taken a liking too is the cajeta envinada (with wine) the little bit of wine in there really as Emeril would say "kicks it up a notch"
