I've lived in STL all my life, but have been out of the frequent dining scene (other than lunch) for several years due to the arrival of our kids.
Thus, for the last several years all of our dining has been at the very high end (anniversaries and special occasions - Tony's, Monarch, Harvest, the Crossing, etc.) or at the kid-friendly places.
Now that the kids are old enough to let us out on a more frequent basis, we're looking for great spots that are "nice" but casual, and in the moderate price range ($10-20 entrees). Places that allow corkage are a plus. I'd like to get out for $75 - $80 (or less) for two, assuming I bring a bottle.
Examples I already know of are Cafe Provencal in Kirkwood and Pho Grand. Maybe 1111 Mississippi? Others? What are your two or three favorites?
Anywhere in the metro area is fine.
Thanks for any recs!
