the funky chocolate shop on chambers street, near church ('candy world' i think) dips their own strawberries, banana chunks, ginger slices and halava chunks. the chocolate is decent and the stuff is very fresh. although the coating on the white chocolate-dipped strawberry tasted like wax, the dark was actually quite good to almost excellent. i recommend them highly--lots of other (boxed) items as well.
the T-Salon near the flat iron building had a number of boxes left of tea flavored chocolates made by knipschildt (?). his creations really stood out at the 2002 chocolate fair. the woman at the T-Salon said that they've had a number of people try to do the tea chocolate thing and that these were the best of all.
the tea chocolates are named after their respective teas but apparently this chocolatier gives his other chocolates female names. ; )
