Hi, this is my first post so big thanks to everyone as chowhound has been a great resource over the years.
A few weeks ago I needed to plan a special occasion dinner for two and after reading positive reviews for the cote de boeuf at Minetta Tavern, scored a dinner reservation. Just today I read a few recent yelp reviews that were not so positive. With the special occasion coming up, I'm getting a bit nervous as was hoping for spectacular ribeye . If anyone can comment about recent experiences at MT and the cote de boeuf it would be really helpful.
Also, any recommendations for a spectacular ribeye in the NYC area would be appreciated. I've done a fair bit of research and of course Peter Luger is up there as well as the usual suspects. I was hoping to try some place new, but may switch to Luger's for dependability (which may be an issue as well).... Any comments are appreciated. Thanks!
