Millwood Melt

Hey Hounds

So I'm driving along Millwood and I see this place stuck in a strip mall near Laird. Millwood Melt. It's a "Grilled Cheesery."

I looked on the board and found nothing so I assume no one has yet tried it. I'm really not so sure I'm all that interested in giving it a whirl unless someone tells me that it's the best thing since sliced bread. More likely it's the dumbest thing since Pink Burger.

The big thing is the roll out. Don't get me wrong, even if I hate a place I'd have a hard time hoping it goes under but to me, this place is a disaster in the making. First of all, I just don't see grilled cheese places catching on. Ya, there are some examples (Melt in Cleveland for one) but over all, it seems like a silly idea. It's location seems to be terrible as well.

Then we move onto the menu. They have 3 items listed. Not one is the simple, classic buttered bread and cheese although it looks like you can order one under the DIY section. Not clear. Next thing to puzzle me is the Wake & Bacon. A grilled cheese with peameal, eggs and tomato. Sounds good right?? A nice breakfast sandwich. WRONG, the earliest they open is 11:30. Are they catering to the 20ish crowd the morning after a bender?? Last but not least, "Extras" for an up charge. I'm fine with that except when you want to charge me 50¢ for slices of onion.

Anyway, if anyone decides to lean into the strikezone and take one for the team, please post your findings here.
