Mike's Kitchen (VFW) vs. Caffe Itri

Thanks to everyone for the replies on my La Laiterie vs Red Stripe query. We're resolving that dilemma by trying both, as someone suggested.

This one is tougher because we can't go to both places. For lunch on Saturday I've been thinking about Mike's Kitchen at the Tabor-Franchi VFW hall in Cranston, but a recent perusal of the board reminded me that I've long wanted to try Caffe Itri, also in Cranston, in the Knightsville section (one of the most authentically Italian neighborhoods in the US).

Thoughts? I know we will eat well at either one. I'd particularly like to hear from hounds who have tried both places.

Thanks, RI hounds!
