middle eastern supermarkets?

For those who have been to Irvine recently, you may have noticed the Wholesome Choice market that opened on Culver near the 405. Wholesome Choice is a full-sized (like Vons/Ralphs) supermarket that has quite fancy decor, about Gelson's level, and specializes in middle eastern groceries, although they have quite a few asian groceries as well. There are several deli counters that serve prepared food, including a kabob counter, a hot entree counter, a pizza counter, and a salad bar, with a sizeable eating area inside. I ate lunch there the other day and had very good fessenjen (persian walnut/pomegrante/chicken stew). Very impressive, enough to show an OC skeptic that there is culture behind the Orange Curtain.

Is there anything like/close to this in LA County? Haven't been to Jons yet but I hear it may be close.
