It's been a few days of intense hard work: eating my way through San Francisco with a few guests. So far, my discerning guests have declared that there has yet to be an un-delicious meal. The variety of cuisines available in the City proper, of course, has shocked and delighted these two suburbanites.
I'll post the highlights below with our collective favorite dish(es) at each spot. Details and photos of the lengthier meals are linked below.
Chutney: chicken tikka masala
Pesce: squid ink risotto with grilled squid
Mama's on Washington Square: crab benedict
The Ferry Building and all its delights
Fresca: fried calamari
Tango Gelato on Fillmore
Cocoa Bella chocolatiers on Union Street
Mezes: grilled prawns
A16 and Steps of Rome (snacks only): burrata mozarella
Spices I: deep fried stinky tofu (no review linked below because I go there so often I feel like a shill)
South Sea Seafood: cold appetizer platter
We're only halfway through our journey, so wish us luck and stay tuned!
