You don't have to spend a fortune in New Mexico for authentic New Mexican quisine.
Tecolote in Santa Fe has the very best breakfast burrito, filled with scrambled eggs, ham, bacon or sausage, onions, red or green chili with more chili over the soft flour tortilla. A huge order of fried potatoes comes with the meal.
Diego's in the DeVargas shopping center has the very best (and cheap) New Mexican food in Santa Fe.
For a unique taste of New Mexico, try Charlies Back Door in Albuquerque
