Mexicanna Mamma minimum purchase?

Mark Z | Jun 17, 2004 12:07 PM

I went ot Mexicanan Mamma last night with a friend of mine at like 10pm and I had already had dinner but was going to sit and join him. While we were waiting we were told about the $10 minimum entree purchase. Ok, thats fine, we didnt really care, he was eating and i would have some drinks and if they wanted to charge us 10 bucks whatever. But the waitress came over and told us about it, maybe 3 more times before we sat and then as we were sitting told us again. At this point I had already had a few margaritas and my friend had a few beers, so our tab was easliy 30 bucks, with no food. So she continues to go on about the charge until the point where we had to be like... lady i dont care what you charge me just enough with the extra charge BS. We ended up ordering an app and a main course some more drinks and the bill ended up being somehting like 70 bucks. She came over again during our meal after we had covered the "$10 minimum" and told us that they were waiving the fee since it wasnt that busy. Annoying service is one of the easiest ways she could have ruined the experience. The food is great as always, and being a recent convert to pleasures of mexican food i have been there often.... but i am going to make sure that waitress is no where near me next time...... so annoying.

Sorry for the rant!
