Meating on Queen...I owe you an apology

For whatever reason, I've never been a customer at Meating on Queen, despite its proximity to my home. After this weekend, that's going to change. A saturday night family dinner required a 4lb pork roast. Hoping to get all my shopping done at loblaws, I was in dire straits (no brussel sprouts in autumn? hello). Meating on Queen filled the void nicely. The roast had a good fat cap on it (hard to find roasts that haven't been excessively trimmed) and cooked to a pink blush on the inside, it was moist and delicious.

With free range chickens at $3.60/lb, a decently stocked deli counter, a plethora of latin american condiments, an intriguing variety of house-made sausages, etc....i'll be back. In fact, I went the next day for some cold cuts and a cured chorizo (v good).

BTW, I hate Rowe Farms, I really do. Overpriced, undergood.
