My friend has been making a meatball sausage dish served with ginger basil penne using a recipe by Pierre Franey* for quite a few years now, and it's such a winner. Very flavorful and comforting. Recently I shared the recipe with fellow CH'r chefchicklet, who made it and said it was so good that I should point it out to all of you as well. So here goes.

The penne with ginger and basil is amazing, we like it with a little more ginger than the recipe calls for.
