Best meal we had in Olympia--Anthony's-review

On a recent visit to Olympia from Los Angeles we tried Olympia Oyster House, Budd's Bay Cafe, Mercado, Spar, & Anthony's.

Anthony's was the best, in our opinion. Our group tried (1) the grilled salmon over mashed potatoes (I forgot to find out how they seasoned the very flavorful potatoes), excellent, (2) halibut with fresh peach salsa, also very good and the unusual salsa was not too sweet. (3) The clam chowder in sourdough bowl and Caesar salad were the best my son had, and he tried them everywhere. I tasted the clam chowder & thought it one of the best, ever (white chowder). (4) The fried oysters were enjoyed by the oyster lover, and the cioppino salad which I did not try was devoured by my brother. He substituted a thousand island louie type dressing for the one offerred.

For dessert I highly recommend the fresh peach ice cream and the wild blackberry cobbler. This meal would be great anywhere, and it was lovely in this pretty town. I don't have the address but it's on the sound (Columbia St.?)
