Just back from Maui

Best surprise, 'A Saigon Cafe' in Wailuku - 1792 Main St., Wailuku, 808/243-9560. Delicious fried fish Viet style, many tasty and reasonable (for Maui) dishes, with pleasant service. Lotsa locals - not a fancy locale. Biggest dissapointment? Mama's. Insanely beautiful locale, overpriced and overcooked fish, and pushy waitstaff who wanted our table ASAP for the next lunch group. I actually had a waitress twice grab my unfinished plate, only to have me stop her - and we ain't dillydalliers at eating. Coffee, pricey and waterey. A real dissapointment after what we'd read here - I'd have been much happier buying some poke or a picnic lunch elsewhere and finding one of the many many beautifule locales available for a wonderful lunch instead. Also, Hana Ranch (damn good burgers, just as awesome a locale as Mama's or better) should you find yourself out there...

On a side note, we brought back some Li Hing Mui powder, but does anyone know where to get KuiKui nut/Inamona on the mainland?
