We are loyal Seattle visitors and looked forward to another lunch at Matts in the Market. We ate there yesterday and were pretty underwhelmed. The seared tuna was served on rye(???) and lost out to the entirely too generous amounts of mustard served on the bread. The vongole fettucine was ok but heavily sauced and the taste of the clams was lost to the heavy handed use of breadcrumbs and a taste of curry.
We doubted we would rush back any time soon.
We did take a peek in the window at Le Pichet and headed back up there in the late afternoon for coffee.
It has a great feel and reminded us immediately of Paris. We vowed to try it for lunch or dinner on our next visit.
