Matsuno in Burlingame - good shabu2 place

It is a solid shabu2 place with fresh, nicely cut think slices of meats. Lots of varieties. Perfectly sliced, red/fresh coloured lamb, beef, pork. Good marinated kalbi, beef, tongues and many other things. Also on the side there is good selections of hot pot things like veggies, plump shrimps, other seafood. Even the sliced fish taste decent. Their sauces is quite tasty. I like their hot sauce where other places are inedible. It also has small selections of sushi. The dessert section had the usual jellies, condensed milk, etc.

Charge is $10.99 all you can eat with the grill included. The hot pot is only $3 per table extra. Coke is $1.50.

Service can be better. But due to the tasty meats and many selections, I have considered this as my new favorite shabu2 place. It is worth 30 minutes drive. I tried several places in SF and this place takes the cake. The only draw back is the less than desirable service although they did replace my plates several times. Also the celings were leaking at couple of places when raining. It's still a winner and I hope that place survives !
