I made my yearly trip to Palm Springs to visit with East-Coast friends who go there in February. The Matchbox is on the second level with window seats overlooking "the strip" (my term) of restaurants and shops below. It's very informal with very good and helpful young servers and also quite good and reasonably-priced food. It's my food in the pic, calamari steak strips and a green salad,. We sat at the table to the left of the table in the other evening photo.
The pizza is what you hear most about, and it's very good with a very thin crust that almost disappears in your mouth.
The first photo is the day view of the building complex. The Matchbox is the yellow building on the right and extends more to the right. I remember seeing it from the street at night with people eating up there on the balconies and thinking that would be nice. We now go there pretty much every time I go down to PS.
