How to use "masa" in Mexican chocolate

Jackie Avery, 5/15, described a way to soak cornstarch out of masa to add to chocolate. I bought some "masa harina"--can I use it or is there another product, "masa" I should use?

Thanks, I'd love to make some champurrado soon.
