Had dinner at The Marrow and overall it was a very good experience.
The space is very nice, a casual elegence with nice big windows, slightly weird shape, long and narrow in one section with tables, chairs, and banquets, open and square in another area by their small bar with booths, regardless, it worked.
We tried a couple different cocktails and although very well made and tasty they seemed microscopic in size, I didn't feel I was getting any value.
We tired several different dishes but the stand outs were the bone marrow dish (bone split lengthwise, with uni and meyer lemon aioli). Was concerned the two soft textures would conflict but it worked beautifully aided but the slight bite/crunch of some celery greens). The hen of the woods dish was also excellent but the portion is so large it gets to texture overload after about half way through. The "Berliners" for dessert are crazy good, the best cream filled donut you may ever eat IMO.
The service was great, very friendly, very knowledgeable. Our waiter did a great job of recommending wines and beer to work with the food.
Noise level was good but growing when we left, never got uncomfortable.
Still many things on the menu I want to try so looking forward to a return visit.
