We finally went to Marisol restaurant last week after reading about them in and old Gourmet magazine and were absolutelty amazed. The service was kind of sloppy but I'm not really a nit -picker.
Now for the food. Brilliant. The pork belly with the toro tartare was simply unreal. The olive oil poached fluke with fresh peas and tiny puff pastrys the size of your fingernail and the smoked sturgeon with the above ork belly and redwine vinaigrette was out of this world. It just kept getting better and better. The final push was the cheeses. Why don't most restaurants there have cheese lists? Great.
Everyplace else after that seemed to pale in comparison. Heard raves about Bayona and the food was not even close.
