Went to Magnolia's Friday night for the Crab Fest.
The downsides were my combo plate which had a over mayoed pile of crab and some crab legs with bay seasoning. Wasn't anything to go Wow. One of the other diners got the soft shell crab and it was overly fried and breaded, which was extremely disappointing.
The true highlights were the fried oyster appetizer. Nice bite and not overly fried and the bloody mary crab soup with avocado. Nice presentation and very good flavor. Shredded crab in the middle of the soup with avocado slices on the side. Very tasty. Also, the pino gris was excellent.
Good experience, not overall Wow, but certainly contained some Wow highlights.
