Machu Picchu is a very good call if you're looking for Peuvian food (and you should be)in NoVa. High quality throughout.
Ceviche mixto, powerful and spicy: this was stellar. A large serving, we could have stopped right there for an excellent meal along with the surprisingly thick and foamy salsa verde on top of good bread. As always in a Peruvian restauant, ask for a dish of cancha on the side.
Shrimp soup: intense shrimp flavor. A lifetime supply for $10. Split this among many.
Pescado de chorellana: one of the best measures of a Peruvian kitchen, this was great all the way.
Lomo Saltado: quality beef and french fries cooked in gravy.
Chicharones: overcooked, dry unfortunately.
