LV - Mirage Buffet Report

Last night I had dinner at The Mirage's buffet, Cravings.

Salads: Standard lettuce and vegetable offerings. I like that they mix your selected ingredients in a bowl (to get proper dressing distribution) and then give it to you.

Asian: Sushi selection was very poor. Salmon maki and nigiri was the only fish available. There were a few vegetable rolls also. I passed. Mongolian Beef was good. Sweet and sour chicken was not (pre-sauced and soggy). The assortment of dumplings were tasty for the most part.

Raw Bar: Nice selection of shellfish but I was not in the mood.

Italian: Pizza was very mediocre and the chicken parmesan was worse.

Other: The Latin section (i.e. make your own fajitas), Rotiserrie, and Barbecue sections were not very appealing visually.

Desserts: Probably the worst part of the meal. Very basic, mass-produced sweets.

I did get a $15 comp from the poker room. I would not have gone to the buffet for full dinner price without it. I would have enjoyed a pastrami sandwich from Carnegie Deli more.
